Movember 2009
Back in 2007, a Kiwi mate of mine told me about Movember, “the annual, month-long celebration of the mustache, highlighting men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer,” so I thought I’d give it a try.
It sounded like a fun excuse not to shave for a month, so I gave it a shot. Then again in 2008. But as a year-round beard sporter, I thought that this year I should focus more on the tache-scaping. So this year I ended up with a facial hair inspired equally by Big Paully from American Choppers or 21st U.S. President, Chester A. Arthur.
Maybe next year I’ll actually raise money (instead of just awareness) for the cause. If you are feeling generous, though, you can still donate to the Movember charities (if you’re in the U.K.).
Also, I you want to see a great mustache/twitter mashup, check out Tachetag.

You’ve got the black mould.
Nice tash!!!
Ha ha nice!
I like how you can watch the mold developing on your ceiling too
awesome. I inadvertently participated this and am sporting a pretty epic stash myself.
T-Bone, you can’t talk about your soup strainer without hooking us up with a link to a photo (and I didn’t see one your blog).
I think if you go the Chester A. Arthur route, you should go all out: http://www.nps.gov/history/nR/travel/centralvermont/buildings/VtHist.03.jpg
…just a thought for next year.
I love the beard! I will spend the next ten minutes dreaming about the ability to grow facial hair.
