American Gothic
This is a photo of my parents re-enacting the painting, American Gothic. The farmhouse with the Gothic window is only an hour drive from my hometown in Iowa.
Oh man. I was sooo close to pulling off the road there on my last trip up to Minnesota after Christmas. Sooo close. Never been.
Dad got a new pitchfork and I got a new DSLR, so the next step was obvious.
You should go, P-Funk. They have a visitor’s center and everything (although it was closed when we went).
